On "Dr." Kevorkian....
Why? Why is this man still free?
He's participated in the murder of 31 people. "Assisted suicides"?
Get real.... These former "patients" of the "Doctor" were
malpractice victims. I ask you: If a woman, who had been diagnosed
with terminal cancer or full blown AIDS, was standing on the roof
of a 30-story building and someone pushed her off would that be
a crime? Of course it would. Now you may ask, "What if she was
feeling suicidal?" It doesn't matter!! Knowingly, actively, and
willingly participating in the unnatural death of a human being
makes you a murderer or at least an accessory to the crime of murder.
Dr. Jack "Death" Kevorkian should be in jail with the other criminals
of our society. It's a shame that the U.S. judicial system hasn't
been able to put this man away. Unfortunately for us all, the wily
Doctor seems to know just where and how to administer his "treatments".
His days are numbered. Eventually he will be imprisoned. But it
won't help those who will have died by his hand.
On Bush.....
Gavin Rossdale, you've been known to complain about performing and
the press you've been getting yet you hardly shy away from interviews,
music videos, and photo-ops. What gives?.....
Bush consists of four members. Why do you hog all the attention
for the band?......
Hmmmmm.......
McDonald's: Pro-Choice??
The other day while dining at a local McDonald's, I made a strange
observation. Medium or extra-large(super-size) shakes were not featured
on their menu. Realizing that this was probably just an oversight on the
part of the menu-maker, I attempted to order a super-size shake(vanilla).
I was politely told that super-size shakes weren't offered, only small and
large. This prompted me to question why. The cashier shrugged her shoulders
and commented that was the way it had always been. Not wanting to cause
her any undue grief, I settled for a large and paid the bill. Later that
night I pondered their selection and decided to do a little checking. The
following is a summary of my findings from 5 of the largest fast-food chains
in the Dallas, Texas area:
Burger King-
Soft-drinks are offered in small(12oz), medium(16oz), and large(32oz) sizes.
Shakes are also offered in the same sizes. It seems as though you really can
'get it your way' here.
Wendy's-
Soft-drinks are offered in kid(12oz), small(16oz), medium(21oz), and
'Biggie'(32oz) sizes. Frostys are offered in all sizes except 'Biggie'
(32oz). When asked why, an explanation could not be given.
Jack in the Box
Soft-drinks are offered in small(16oz), medium(20oz), large(32oz), and
'Super Quencher'(44oz) sizes. Shakes are offered in small and medium
sizes only but all managers of the stores contacted admitted that they would
sell a large shake for the cost of two small ones. When asked about a
'Super Quencher' size shake, one manager commented that they couldn't
properly make them since their mixer couldn't reach the bottom of the cup.
Another commented that 44oz would be, "too much shake," for an individual
(hmmm.....I wonder why 44oz of soft drink wouldn't be 'too much'?).
Whataburger-
Soft drinks are offered in kid(12oz), small(16oz), medium(24oz), and large
(32oz) sizes. Shakes/malts are offered in the same sizes.
McDonald's-
Soft drinks are offered in kid(12oz), small(16oz), medium(21oz), and
large(32oz) sizes. Shakes are only offered in small and large
sizes. When queried about other sizes for shakes all managers
contacted said it was a corporate decision and the shakes could only
be sold in the two sizes. I asked what if a person were willing to pay
the cost of two small(16oz) shakes for one 32oz shake and was told that
was forbidden. In fact, one manager revealed and interesting tidbit to me.
The 'large' shake that is offered is actually served in a medium(21oz)
cup. So in reality, Mickey D's only offers small(16oz) and medium
(21oz) shakes. Strange.........very strange.......
